helping parents raise happy kids

Hey Mamas

January 27, 2024

It’s a lot.

I know it’s been hard. So many feelings. Are you doing enough? Are you giving them enough? Why is there so much crying? This is supposed to be a happy time but it’s so damn hard!

Becoming a mom is so easy! Being a good mom is so hard.

But it’s ok. You’re a great mom. You love that little bug so much! Through the exhaustion and the tantrums and the sickness. It’s ok to be tired. It’s ok to cry- once in a while even in front of them. Take a deep breath- all the way to your belly.

It’s ok. That little one loves you more than anything. You are the safe one. That child knows, no matter what, you’re not going anywhere. The “prove you love me” moments do just that. The only loving relationship in their life that will be completely unconditional. That pure and loving.

Understanding

They won’t fully appreciate it for a long time. They can’t- they are developmentally unable to understand the immenseness of your commitment to them. But you are strong and doing a great job.

We all have these tough moments. The questioning moments. Just because we all have them doesn’t make them less significant in your experience. Just know that the community of loving moms is out there and we are all working, doing our very best.

Love

Love that little turkey. Get support when and where you can. Talk to other moms. Take a deep breath, go to a yoga class, wash your face and get back to it.

Your love makes you a great mom.
